Whats on?

Updated 16th May 2021

Great start of the season so far. Nice to already see so many of you as we begin returning to some normality.

Its been great seeing some old faces as well as welcoming new members to the club.

This Friday, May 21st, we are officically opening the new practise nets and concluded the 2020 season with a presentation evening.

We have a special guest, Indian test cricketer Hanuma Vihari, Warwickshire CCC overseas to help with the opening and also be present on the evening.

Looking forward to welcoming you back into the club house next week.

Up the Green!

AGM and practise nets

Updated 13th March 2021

Thanks to those that joined our AGM this week via zoom of course.

Quick update from the meeting.

Steve Wragg was appointed as Chairman of the main committee,

Lucy Bellamy Vice Chair and Leigh Trevis as Secretary.

Thank you to the people that held those positions previously and for their hard work in difficult times.

Look out for further updates and exciting announcements on our website and facebook page this month and beyond as we enter a new era, with hopefully far less restrictions this Summer!

A full cricket season starting on Saturday April 17th, is at least a huge improvement on last years shortened season.

The first major project we will oversee is the installation of the new nets. We’re expecting work to commence at some point this month or early April at the latest.

A big thank you to everyone who donated to our “Go Fund Me”campaign. We set a target of £5k and have surpassed that point last week.

Exciting times ahead both on and off the field.

Up The Green

End of Season News

Latest Updates

So the 2020 Cricket season comes to a close. As we head into the winter months we have had some highs and lows but more importantly we have been able to see each other and also see some Cricket at least.

Before we know it we will be back to Junior Cricket and our first game of 2021.

Just a couple of updates below. Take a look!

Well played Marston Green 1XI's

Sports Stadium Seats

September 23rd 2020

The Warwickshire Cricket League each consisted of 6 teams and were kept relatively regional and teams were fairly evenly matched. The 1st team finished North Warwicks Group A with a disappointing home defeat to Water Orton and ended up winning 3 of the 10 matches played.

Kudos to the 2Xi team!

Sports Ref

September 23rd 2020

The 2s faired much better by finishing top of Solihull Group E with 6 wins 1 draw and 2 defeats. Extremely well done to Ant and his players

Sunday team on to 2021!

Rugby Players

September 23rd 2020

The Sunday side endured a rather difficult season losing experienced players before the season began and a very young side managed 1 win at least but still finished bottom of Division 3 of the Arden Sunday League.

Memorial Cricket Match 2020

September 1st  2020

What a fantastic turnout Sunday!

In memory of those who sadly are no longer with us and in their memory, two great charities.

We want to Thank everyone that came, supported, volunteered and most importantly honoured the memory of those who will never be forgotten.

We are in the process of gathering in the last few donations and counting up the money to provide everyone an official grand total.

More to come on that over the next week.

Again, Thank you to everyone that supported the event.
